We’re making ourselves comfortable at Café Lintner in Klobenstein. Who doesn’t know it? And how many guests from all over South Tyrol and the world have visited Café Lintner over the years?
In extremely challenging times—times none of us had experienced before—two dedicated young women took over the management of Café Lintner in May 2020. Since 2018, the café has been owned by the Senn family from Hotel Bemelmans Post. Johanna Senn and Lydia Pechlaner, both with experience in the hospitality industry, took the leap and breathed new life into Café Lintner.
Roswitha Treibenreif, who used to live nearby and has always been a loyal guest, is enthusiastic. “My Café Lintner,” she says, is still the same café she loves, but now with a new charm. She appreciates that the cozy booth seating has remained. The comfortable atmosphere hasn’t been lost; the space is simply more beautiful and modern now, renovated with great taste. Johanna and Lydia are always attentive and friendly, genuinely focused on their guests' well-being. They show great attention to detail—even their outfits are coordinated with the café’s style. Overall, Roswitha calls it a wonderful total package, very much in tune with the times. As many would say, it’s hip.
Gabi’s homemade cakes are now part of the past, and although many initially feared this might mean the end of Café Lintner, things turned out quite differently. Now Fabio, a Sicilian pastry chef, delights guests with a variety of sweet treats. Whether it’s a fresh breakfast croissant, a yogurt-strawberry cake, or something classically Italian—there’s something for everyone. Roswitha raves about the Sicilian almond pastries and admits she simply can’t resist them.
“No cake is also no solution”—that’s how guests are greeted at the entrance to the terrace, and they happily accept the invitation. In addition to the sunny terrace, a small, idyllic north-facing terrace was added during renovations.
And as Johanna and Lydia say, what could be better than spending a little time in our café—morning coffee, an aperitivo later on, a quick lunch snack, or a fragrant slice of cake or some homemade ice cream in the afternoon.
