The Rittner Horn is one of those places that many of us have known and cherished since childhood. It is a ski area, a hiking paradise, a panoramic viewpoint and a meeting place all at once. Above all, however, it is a place we call home.
To ensure that it remains so in the future, important investments will be required in the coming years. The existing cable car as well as the Pennleger and Oberhorn ski lifts have reached the end of their technical service life and need to be replaced. These facilities have served reliably for decades, but their continued operation is no longer possible in the long term. Modern installations increase safety, improve comfort and at the same time reduce energy consumption and maintenance requirements.
The projects follow a clear principle: as much modernization as necessary, as little impact on the landscape as possible. This will ensure that the Rittner Horn remains what it has always been: a local recreation area for the people of the Renon and far beyond – in every season of the year. Yet the future of the Rittner Horn does not depend on technical facilities alone. It needs people who stand behind this place – people who take responsibility and help ensure that the Horn remains vibrant for future generations.
The Rittner Horn belongs to all of us. What many have created, cared for and preserved can only be carried forward together. Every single person is part of this responsibility – not only as a visitor or user, but also as a co-creator of the future of our local mountain.
