Ritten – Quiet Observations
Analog Photographs by Oswald Kofler
As part of the first edition of the ANALOGUE PHOTOFESTIVAL, taking place from June 3 to 14, 2026 at various locations across South Tyrol, the historic railway station building in Oberbozen presents a photography exhibition by Oswald Kofler. The opening will take place on June 5 at 11 am.
The exhibition Quiet Observations features a selection of analog photographs by the Bolzano-born artist and photographer, who devoted more than five decades to photography. With a subtle and poetic eye, Kofler captured people, landscapes, and quiet everyday details. His black-and-white photographs are especially distinguished by their precision, atmosphere, and graphic clarity.
For Kofler, Ritten was an important place of retreat and artistic work from childhood onwards — a close connection that is vividly reflected in the photographs on display.
The exhibition will remain open until November 8, 2026. Opening hours: Mon–Fri 9 am–5 pm, Sat 9 am–12 pm.
