Ritten will once again be the mecca of ice sports from January 12 to 18, 2025. During those days, the high plateau will host the Women’s Under-18 World Championship (Division I, Group A). Six strong youth teams have qualified for the final round of the tournament and will compete for the world title at the Ritten Arena.

The U18 World Championship for young female hockey players will be a major event – in addition to the regular games of the Rittner Buam SkyAlps, the various speed skating competitions in winter, and the European Pond Hockey Championship in February. The plateau in the heart of South Tyrol has already earned international recognition as a venue for top-level sporting events.

Six teams will have the chance to claim the world title at the Ritten Arena from January 12 to 18. Alongside Italy, the host nation, Germany, Norway, France, Denmark, and Japan will also take part in the tournament.
