Several accommodation providers on the Ritten Plateau implement measures covering environmental, social and economic responsibility. Their efforts have been assessed according to defined criteria within independent certification and evaluation schemes and recognised with different sustainability labels.
South Tyrol Sustainability Label – Level 3 and GSTC Criteria The criteria of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) provide an internationally recognised framework for assessing sustainable tourism practices. They cover areas such as sustainable management, social and economic benefits for local communities, the protection of cultural heritage and the responsible use of natural resources.
The South Tyrol Sustainability Label – Level 3 is the highest level of the sustainability programme developed by IDM South Tyrol. Its requirements are aligned with the GSTC criteria.
