With the Südtirol Guest Pass RittenCard, admission to the
Plattner Bienenhof Beekeeping Museum in Wolfsgruben is free of charge (once per stay, seasonal).
The Plattner Bienenhof is open from early April to October 31, daily from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Last admission at 5:00 pm.
With more than 600 years of history, the Plattner Bienenhof is one of the most picturesque farmsteads in South Tyrol, and its unique location makes it well worth a visit. The Gramm merchant family from Bolzano carefully restored the farm in cooperation with the Regional Heritage Department and transformed it into a beekeeping museum. Today, it houses the largest private collection on South Tyrolean beekeeping and stands as a monument to traditional rural architecture and way of life.
How to get there: Take the
Railway Ritten until the train stop Wolfsgruben. From there, it is about a 10-minute walk to the museum.
Alternatively, walk from Klobenstein (Ritten Arena) or Oberbozen (station) along hiking trail no. 15, which takes about 30–40 minutes.
