Fishing in the lake

Wolfsgruben Lake

The Wolfsgruben Lake is situated in an enchanting location among gentle, forested hills and offers fun and recreation in every season: in summer the lake is the perfect spot for a swim, patient anglers can fish the lake’s carp, pike or tench, and leisurely hikes around the lake are a great way to relax in nature and breathe in the fresh mountain air. And in wintertime, when the lake freezes over, ice skating blades glisten on the ice.

The lake is easy to reach on foot all year round: from the center of Oberbozen, trail no. 15 leads directly to the lake in about 30–35 minutes. Drivers can use the free parking area opposite the lake. Those travelling by public transport can take the Rittner Bahn from Klobenstein or Oberbozen, with services running every 30 minutes.
