Direct Ascent from Pemmern
From the Pemmern bus stop, follow Trail No. 1 directly up to the alpine pasture to catch the traditional cattle drive.

In the Footsteps of the Herders
Take the bus 166 to the Tann bus stop. From there, follow the Hirtenstein trail (trail 1A) straight to the Saltner Hütte and on to the festival.

From Klobenstein
Take Trail 1 to Tann (approx. 65 mins), then continue along the Hirtensteig trail 1A (approx. 40 mins) to the festival grounds.

Take Trail 6 to Tann (approx. 80 mins), then follow the Hirtensteig trail 1A (approx. 40 mins) to the festival.

Follow Trails 4A + 4 to Rosswagen, continue to "Schönalm", then descend via Trail 1 to the Rittner Alm.
