In a few minutes so close to the sky
Hiking fun on the Corno del Renon
One loves small wonders and discovers them in nature, the other loves the distant view and finds them in Sciliar, Catinaccio, etc. The pleasure hiker takes the cable car up to the mountain station and starts there the panoramic walk; the trained hiker goes from the Hotel Tann on the trail number 9 towards the summit. But the Tyrolean dumplings and apple strudel in the huts, they all love them.

The Corno del Renon can be reached in 10 minutes by car from Collalbo or comfortably by bus 166. Even with strollers there are options, such as the circular walk from the mountain station with a 360° panoramic view of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage of the Dolomites, which stretch in an arc from the south-east to the south, with the peaks of the Sass de Putia over the peaks of Odle to the Sciliar mountain, further over the Catinaccio to the Latemar to the Corno Nero and Bianco. To the north, the vastness of the Sarentino Alps opens up, and behind them, the Stubai Alps stand out.
Kneipp cure at over 2000 meters
Finally, the beautifully laid out Kneipp basin will entice you to relax. A guarantee for a cooling down at high temperatures. And a playground of a special kind for the little ones: balancing over the stones, building towers with them, making a boat out of wood and mountain pines... the imagination is best stimulated where there is only nature.
Mountains in the lake
Immediately below the Cima Lago Nero is the reservoir. Also here, one can walk around and admire the sparkling and glittering of the mountain peaks in the water of the clear lake. Then it is time for an afternoon cake or an ice cream break. Three huts invite you to take a breather: Restaurant Schwarzsee, Hut Feltuner Hütte and Hut Unterhornhaus. Enjoy the panorama from a lounger. You can either take the cable car down to Tre Vie or take the path (approx. 1 hour, also possible with strollers with big wheels) to Tre Vie. A little insider tip: After the middle station on the so-called "Schian", a small path goes up the fence to an enchanting little mountain lake, a real hidden jewel.
