The Fourth Renon Christmas market, genuine and traditional
When people start to reminisce, and snow drifts lighlty down from the sky, that is the time for the Renon railway Christmas train or Christmas Market on the Renon. From the narrow Renon platforms rises the scent of gingerbread and mulled wine, traditional soups and other produce, a really nostalgic market, unlike the bustle of other Christmas markets.

The Renon Christmas market, after the last two successful years is now moving into its fourth year. Today this small but splendid event with its ties to the railway takes place in two different areas, the upper station of the Renon cable car in Oberbozen and the platform of the Renon narrow gauge railway in Collalbo.

There local specialities and high quality handwork await you. During the Christmas season there are also concerts with choirs and local bands, the "Ritten Alpenhorn" players and .. Santa Claus rides on the train. Also for the children there are stories and magical afternoons.

For this Renon tradition young artists are also required. The children from the Middle School in Collalbo, with their Art Teacher and the elementary school children from Soprabolzano with their teachers decorate the stations along the railway. We are all eagerly awaiting these Christmassy, modern and almost certainly fantastic art works.
