You can easily get to South Tyrol's capital from the Renon on the Renon cable car. It runs every four minutes from Soprabolzano and floats down in only 12 minutes to Bolzano. From the valley station, it only takes you ten minutes on foot to get to Bolzano's most desirable address, Piazza Walther. The mighty cathedral "Santa Maria Assunta" rises up in front of it.
The arcades are at the centre of the town, as well at the boutiques, next to each other, the fruit and vegetable market, steeped in tradition, and of course the delicatessens, for which Bolzano is well known beryond its boundaries, invite you to saunter and shop at any time of the year.
